The Protocol
Expectant mothers planning to deliver at Hargreaves Hospital must first consult with an OB-GYN registered with our facility. The OB-GYN will provide a booking letter specifying the type of delivery, either vaginal birth or caesarean section. Upon arrival, patients are required to pay a deposit based on their delivery choice. Payments must be made either prior to or on the day of admission, as outlined in the booking letter.

Once the deposit is paid and the booking letter is submitted, the patient will be registered, and they will receive contact information for the head midwife, who will guide them throughout the delivery process at Hargreaves Hospital.

Essentials
The final cost of delivery at Hargreaves Hospital may vary depending on the health condition of both mother and baby. After delivery, the final bill will be generated. Patients may have additional fees or may receive a refund based on the balance.

If you have insurance, we recommend contacting your provider to check coverage for maternity benefits.

In cases where a patient initially opts for a natural delivery but faces complications requiring a caesarean section, the attending doctor or nurse will inform the patient of their options. Patients can choose to transfer to a public hospital or remain at Hargreaves Hospital to complete their caesarean delivery, which will incur an additional cost. However, in some cases, it may be necessary to transfer patients to a public hospital if their condition requires it.

Please note, the OB-GYN’s fee is separate from hospital fees and must be paid directly to the doctor before admission. If the attending OB-GYN does not bring a pediatrician, a pediatrician’s fee will be added to the final bill.
