Hargreaves Hospital stands as a testament to the courage and initiative of a group of courageous young women from Mandeville in 1925, who formed a “General Purpose Committee” and dedicated themselves to establishing a Maternity Hospital.
Through their unwavering determination and fruitful partnerships, the Maternity Hospital evolved into a comprehensive community healthcare facility, ultimately bearing the name of Dr. Hargreaves.
Operating with distinction, the hospital served the people of Central Jamaica admirably until 2006, when financial challenges forced its permanent closure. However, Calvin and Sylvia Lyn stepped in as proprietors at that juncture, undertaking a bold endeavour to rescue the landmark and avert its closure.
On March 1, 2022, Integrity Medical Services Ltd embarked on a lease agreement with Hargreaves Hospital, with the aim of elevating the brand to unprecedented heights.
